Reminiscing

It's almost the end of the year and what better way than to look back at your own personal achievments? Yu-Gi-Oh! Style~
So here we go! Magik kado, Omoide no Buranko, hatsudou!!! Magic card, Swing of Reminiscence, activate!!! :D

#1 - Brah has a field of four tokens, a monster, and a couple face downs. My turn comes and entering the Standby Phase, Future Fusion activates, bringing out E.HERO Absolute Zero. Then Main Phase, I Heavy Storm! Yayyyyy! You just got Black Rosed, Hero style!

#2 - CyDra vs Norlereas Deep Draw. Epicake has a Phantom of Chaos, Dark Horus, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, and a dragon [Prime Material?]. Anyways, my field composed of a face down Trap Stun. It's now or never. DRAW! Got Mind Control which I used on his Phantom but not before I Trap Stunned the field.. Removed my CyDra from the game via Phantom. Now bring a miracle, POWER BOND!!! Fused Phantom with the CyDra in hand for Cyber Twin. Attacked and drop Honest for game!

#3 - Hero vs Blackwings! Oh shit, I'm staring down a Gale, Stardust, Goyo, and Armed Wing. No cards on the field and 3 potentially useless cards in my hand. But no cards in my hand are useless, DRAW! Go, SUPER POLYMERIZATION! Fusion Summon, Surging Dragon Knight - Draco Equiste!!! Epic draw ftw.

Alright, I'm done boasting my ego. Those are my most memorable plays of 2010.

Gotcha~

The Battle Phase

I love the battle phase. Specifically, I love the Damage Step. Mainly, I love the fact that I know, for the most part, exactly how it works, what can be activated when, and how to take advantage of that. Most people do not. They think that Firedog and Shura will activate when they kill a Ryko (false), just like if they kill a Jujitsu (true). They think only one chain can go off during the damage step (false), that they can activate Royal Oppression willy-nilly (false), and that after an attack is declared and before damage calculation are one and the same (false).

But you do not have to be so ignorant. I am here to tell you exactly what goes down during the battle phase, what the sub-steps of the damage step are, etc. Note that basically all this information is found on the wikia, but I'll be giving some more relevant examples.

Organization of the Battle Phase
Start Step
Battle Step
- Attack Declaration
- Before the damage Step
Damage Step
- Start of the Damage Step
- Monsters are Flipped Face-Up
- Before Damage Calculation
- After Damage Calculation
- Resolve Effects
- Monsters are sent to the Graveyard
End Step

Start Step
A player may enter the battle phase without conducting battle. If no battle is conducted, go straight to the end step. The turn player has prio to activate SS (Spell Speed) 2 or higher effects.

Battle Step
This is where things like Mirror Force, D. Prison, etc. are activated. However, they are only allowed to be activated during the attack response window. This is the window that is the first chain during the Battle Step that either player starts. The window closes when both players pass priority.

Example 1:
Player A attacks with Tytannial into a set monster. He uses priority to activate book of moon on the attacked monster. Player B can then chain things like D Prison or Mirror Force, because this is still the first chain in response to the attack. Player B chooses to chain D Prison. Player A chains Tytannial's effect, tributing a fluff token. The chain resolves, D Prison is negated and Player B's (Harpie Lady) is put face down. Player B has a copy of Mirror Force set. He cannot activate it at this time anymore. Because the chain resolved, the attack response window is over. Player B would've been able to activate Mirror Force in chain to Tytannial's effect, but because he let the chain resolve, he has lost the activation window. If he wanted to activate a card like Book of Moon (which does not have to be activated in response to an attack), he would be able to after the D Prison chain resolved.

Example 2:
Player A calls an attack on Player B's monster. Both Players pass priority. Now, neither player can activate cards like Mirror Force, D Prison, or Magician's Circle, because the attack response window has closed.

End Step
The Damage Step comes before this but I feel it's a large enough subject with rulings and stuff that it warrants its own post. So I'll make that a different post. Basically during the End Step you can activate spell/traps that are SS 2 or higher. This is also where the game phase moves to when you drop Battle Fader, along with when the effects of Gladiator Beast's activate.

So that's the battle phase sans Damage Step. I'll do that sometime when I'm not trying to figure out my backup school.

Keep Netdecking
- Brah

Indulging in my dragon fetish.

Recently, I confirmed a Pojo trade for my third Dragunity Phalanx, second and third Dragunity Dux, and my third Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana. I'm hella stoked, but the fact of the matter is that until we get Dragunity Drive (which may or may not come out in the near future), the deck just isn't going to be good. So I hauled my ass over to yugiohcardmaker.net and made them. So now, I present to you, Fugglor's Dragunity Deck! That reminds me. I'm just gonna throw this out there. Archetypes ruined Yu-Gi-Oh. Now that Konami force-feeds us deck ideas (herp derp let's make a new Blackwing card, then people will run Blackwings), creative deck-building has nearly dropped off the face of the fucking planet. Occasionally, I'll see a deck that isn't a god damn archetype, like an Injection Fairy Lily deck or one based around Arcanite Magician, but the other 95% of decks are Blackwings this and Infernities that and it's a bunch of fucking ass. I'm actually working on an old school deck with a few modern touches here and there, using things like triple Breaker, triple Injection Fairy Lily, triple Giant Rat, two Gigantes, Spirit Reaper, and two Bazoo the Soul Eater mixed with Battle Fader, Dimensional Alchemist and maybe a Debris Dragon. Oh, and I'm gonna try to make Spell Canceller and Airknight Parshath decks too. They're hella fun. Like, imagine a Spell Canceller/Royal Decree combo, with Effect Veilers and shit. You could run Dark Simorgh and Chaos Sorcerer with triple Airknight and... I dunno. It's gonna be pretty nostalgic. Anyway. Fugglor's Dragunity Deck!

Main Deck

Monsters - 21

Light and Darkness Dragon x2
Dragunity Arms Laevatein x3
Dragunity Arms Misteil x2
Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon x3

Dragunity Dux x3
Dragunity Phalanx x3
Dragunity Legionnaire x3
Red-Eyes Wyvern x2

Spells - 14

Future Fusion x1
Dragon Canyon x3
Gold Sarcophagus x2
Trade-In x2
Giant Trunade x1
Cold Wave x1
Dark Hole x1
Monster Reborn x1
Book of Moon x2

Traps - 5

Royal Decree x2
Icarus Attack x2
Solemn Judgment x1

Extra Deck

Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana x3
Dragunity Knight - Barcha x2
Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg x1
Stardust Dragon x2
Colossal Fighter x1
Goyo Guardian x1
Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier x1
Trident Dragion x2
Scrap Dragon x1
Ally of Justice Catastor x1

It's all about getting out Synchros really fast, like Trident Dragion (who can come out on the first turn) and Stardust Dragon. For your backup plays, you have Dragunity Arms Laevatein and Light and Darkness Dragon, who combine to make a really annoying unbreakable combo. If Laevatein gets out, you equip LaDD to him, and when Laevatein is destroyed, or even just removed from the field, the "equip" card will be also, meaning that LaDD was destroyed and will Special Summon a monster from your grave - pick Laevatein (who will be in there before LaDD resolves), and the combo starts all over again. If you're sure your opponent doesn't have any options, you can always pick Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and put an extra 2800 on the field. (On your turn, just use REDMD's effect to Special Summon Laevatein.)

Another cool play - Normal Summon Dux, pull Phalanx, send Dux to grave to Special Summon Misteil, pull a second Phalanx, make Barcha, pull that Phalanx again, make Trident Dragion, and destroy that first Phalanx to attack twice.

I wanted to run Icarus Attack, but there just wasn't room. Originally, I had a pretty strong Trap lineup (2 BTH, one Judgment, one Warning, two Icarus, one Mirror Force, and one Torrential) but when I stopped to think about it I noticed that none of those barring Icarus and Solemn Judgment disrupted the opponent enough to help me get my plays off, and that a lot of times they would be destroyed by LaDD's destruction + Special Summon effect. So, I dropped everything but Icarus and Solemn Judgment for two Royal Decree (searchable with Gold Sarc and easily drawn with all the milling). I'm pretty sure this is going to work better. If not, it doesn't matter, there's still plenty of time to test builds before the cards actually come out. Hope you enjoyed this little peek into my Dragon fetish. Until next time,

~ Fuggs

PS ~ Fuck yeah, our blog is mentioned on Rauzes's. Maybe people will actually read these.

A Hero Arrives!

I take back what I said. A Hero Arrives is amazing. Half your life may be a steep cost, but if you are skilled enough to control the game then it's a small price to pay. Going into Airman/Stratos not only creates field presence but hand advantage as well. That then sets up for fusion plays which your opponent will have a hard time getting past without a good Torrential or Mirror Force. And because of that, I run Trap Stun now. Good  card :D And so is A Hero Arrives! You guys don't believe me? Test it out yourself ;)
Why am I the only member posting? I've got college apps done too and still have time to post :o

Giant Trunade (Hurricane) x1

Traps (7)
Hero Blast x2
Trap Stun x1
Solemn Judgement (Declaration of God) x1
Solemn Warning (Warning of God) x1

Extra Deck (15)
Elemental Hero Divine Neos (E.HERO God Neos) x2
Elemental Hero Absolute Zero x3
Elemental Hero Gaia x2
Elemental Hero Terra Firma (E.HERO the Earth) x1
Elemental Hero Wildedge (E.HERO Wild Jaggyman) x1
Elemental Hero Grand Neos (E.HERO Groun Neos) x1
Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste (Surging Dragon Knight Dragoequites) x1
Filler x4

Basic idea of the deck is to have a HERO on the field or in the grave, play Future Fusion and reveal Divine Neos. Send Another Neos, Groun Mole, 2 Voltics, and a filler HERO. Miracle Fusion for Divine while keeping at least one Voltic in the grave. Remove Voltic from the game with Divine. Attack with Divine Neos and because he absorbed Voltic, he brings back Voltic who attacks to bring back another Voltic who will then bring out any E.HERO removed from play. Bring back a Stratos with the last Voltic's effect to gain advantage. Bring back an Ocean to attack and then Super Poly for Absolute Zero.
I'm not sure whether or not to run a third Voltic. I'm not running one at the moment because I don't have a third and I hate proxying, and I'm not sure if there will be consistency issues :/
The possibilities are endless with HEROES! :D

Happy Day After Christmas!

Merry Christmas to our one reader...and all you anonymous readers out there! As a thank you for all our readers who I promised asian girls to, here's an asian girl

Merry Christmas you guys! But please remember that we're trying to cover a children's card game here, not degrade women.

My Rant:
-In the process of trading off my Warning for a Gungnir. I'm very reluctant to trade Warning off because it's a symbol of my mad ripping skillz but I guess that's not really something to be proud of :/
-Yayyy for Gungnir though! Getting ready for March when we get Shining and hopefully Great Tornado >:]
-Although we're not getting Dragunity Drive, we are getting Dragunity Legion. Hopefully this won't be a repeat of Advent of the Emperor/Dark Emperor which they completely change the deck theme and remove all the good shit...I kinda want to build Dragunities.
-Speaking of dragons, lets welcome Orgymaster, the man with a dragon fetish that rivals my HERO fetish.
-Nvm I don't want to build Dragunities, HEROES are still the best :3 I'll leave that to Fugglor.
-Instant Fusion + Mask Change by Rauzes x.X I can't believe I didn't think of that. Instant Absolute Zero setup right there. It's a shame that there aren't many LV5 or below HEROes that aren't Water (E.HERO Sailor Man and Steam Healer), it would make the combo a lot more versatile and tool boxish D:
-370 bucks in Christmas money?!? o.0 Screw YGOz, I'm getting me some YesStyle clothes :D

Intro to Orgymaster / Disaster Dragon

Hey it's me, the newest member of the team rose bud blog, Orgymaster. I'm gonna be posting mostly stuff about dragon decks, cuz I know everyone has always wanted to run a dragon deck right? Aside from that, Ima post whatever I feel like, so be prepared. Coming up are the decks I currently run, and I'm planning on starting my own weekly segment/article/thing.
To start things off, here's my disaster dragon deck

Disaster Dragon
Monsters: 19
3x Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
3x Red Eyes Wyvern
3x Koaki Meiru Drago
3x Masked Dragon
2x Delta Flyer
1x Totem Dragon
1x Light and Darkness Dragon
1x Prime Material Dragon
1x Exploder Dragon
1x Dread Dragon
Spells: 14
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
3x Book of Moon
2x Gold Sarcophagus
1x Smashing Ground
1x Foolish Burial
1x Dark Hole
1x Future Fusion
1x Monster Reborn
1x Cold Wave
1x My Body as a Shield
Traps: 8
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Mirror Force
1x Torrential Tribute
1x Trap Stun
1x Seven Tools of the Bandit
1x Starlight Road
1x Burst Breath
This bitch here is heavily inspired by Richard Clarke's disaster dragon deck, and it's been working really well. I've heard people call this deck a "control aggro deck" which actually sums it up pretty well. The idea is to control the field with your high atk dragons while constantly pushing for game (I know someone else can describe it better). Below are the main card explanations.
REDM x3 + REW x3 - This guy makes the deck work. Period. The cornerstone of most dragon decks nowadays, he is your main guy for field presence. With red eyes wyvern, your opponent can expect to see him the whole game. In general, to beat this deck, your opponent will have to go through this guy at least 3-4 times per game (barring otks, which are a bitch). He can turn a game around pretty easily, especially with targets like prime material and koaki meiru drago. The 2800 attack counts for a lot too, forcing your opponent to use their removal cards rather than attacking over it.
Prime Material Dragon - The "prime" target of REDM, this guy protects your guys from all common destruction effects. Mirror force, bottomless, smashing ground, dark hole, and black rose (etc.) are all this guy's bitch. He also goes with delta flyer to get off a fairly consistent trident dragon otk when I want to. Watch out for caius and d prison, the most common counters to this bad mofo.
Koaki Meiru Drago x3 - The game winner, his main purpose is to shut down battle fader/gorz/tragoedia plays that are the bane of your fucking existence. I love how this guy still works in a format where earth based decks are more common than dark/lights.
Masked Dragon x3 - The recruiter of the deck, he searches out the low level dragons. He helps a lot with synchroes, and also gets out totem easily in case you want to get out light and darkness, or tribute summon your REDMs. Great game opener.
Dread Dragon + Delta Flyer x2 - The tuners. Dread searches the low levels, but he really serves you better in the grave where he can be easy accessed with REDM. Delta is the main tuner, bringing a lot of versatility to a deck with otherwise limited synchro options.
Light and Darkness + Totem Dragon - Go very well together. LaDD makes so many guys just scoop, and totem gets him out easier. LaDD forces your opponent to waste resources getting rid of him, and if he's destroyed you still benefit from his special summoning effect. The second gold sarc target in the deck.
Exploder Dragon - Blows big shit up. Extra removal.
Future Fusion + Foolish Burial - Future fusion works with five headed to speed the deck up a shitload. Your number one gold sarc target, this guy will let you win the game at least 75% of the time. While not needed to win, you should make every effort to get this guy out. Once it loads the grave, five headed will be the least of your opponent's problems. Foolish works like mini future fusion here, helping you "reverse toolbox" your guys into the grave, where REDM can bring them back.
Gold Sarcophagus x2 - Searches future fusion first, then LaDD, then your staples. Helps with consistency considerably.
Cold Wave + Trap Stun + Seven Tools + MST x2 - The trap hate of the deck, shutting down your opponents counters and making it easier for you to push for game.
Book of Moon x3 + Bottomless Trap Hole x2 + Torrential - A big part of the control aspect of the deck. Book of moon stops synchroes from happening, as does torrential, and bottomless stops the synchroes once they hit the field, amongst other things of course.
Burst breath - Icarus attack for dragons. Highly chainable. Can stop mass synchroes as well as prevent bottomless from removing your guys.
Starlight Road - Protects your overextensions from black rose and dark hole, and nets you a stardust. Good shit.
Everything else - Staples like monster reborn and dark hole, or stuff i don't want to explain like smashing ground and my body. Figure it out yourself
Ima post and explain my extra deck later probably. For now I'm just balls tired. Hope you like this deck. Orgymaster signing off.

Tourney Report 12/19

I ended up not going due to playing in a basketball game.
We lost, 65-63.
We suck.

Tourney Report 12.19.2010

Quick update before I head to bed. I honestly never do well in tourneys even though I do well against Fugglor and Brah outside of tourneys and they always seem to top.

Round 1 - Lee (Mishmash)
Duel 1 - I kept my two Miracle Fusions in hand in case he had good response to my AZs. Unfortuanetly after he Radiant Mirror Forced (yeah you read this right. This is probably the second time this week, I have got to stop over extending) my Alius, Stratos, and Prisma, I decided to conserve my AZs and he decided to Soul Release my grave of five of my Heroes. No Ocean in grave = no AZ. I had to Super Poly his Clayman for Gaia and he Torrentialed it later. Probably stalled with Scrap Iron Scarecrow for 10 rounds and I had no MSTs or Neos Alius to combo Gemini Spark with (due to him removing all my Alius with Soul Release). I ended up controlling with CyDra and Honest with a shit ton of back row. Eat that Black Luster Soldier.
Duel 2 - I already took way too long with the first duel and decided to go in serious business mode against this scrub. Sided in my MSTs and beat him to death. He scooped
OO

Round 2 - Kenny (Gravekeepers)
Duel 1 - Royal Tributed my hand first turn. I lost Honest, Stratos, CyDra, and Prisma. I was left with a Miracle Fusion and against Necrovalley, I was fucked.
Duel 2 - Opened with Royal Oppresion, Skill Drain, Solemn Warning, Book of Moon, Torrential, and Stratos. Summond Stratos, searched Prisma, and set 4. He set a Spy and 4 face downs. My go and I attacked into Spy and chained Oppression. Umm I forgot what happened after this but I remember us passing and then him Royal Tributing my hand of all my monsters. I was fucked even with Oppression out.
XX

Round 3  - Fugglor (Monster Mash)
Duel 1 - I controlled and won. Can't remember how.
Duel 2 - I Super Polyed his Red Nova Dragon and my Prisma for Draco-Equiste but he Caiusd it next turn. I lost by a margin.
Duel 3 - This game was really intense, he had Caiused my back row Book of Moon which I responed by flipping his Monarch. Absolute Zero was then facing down against Red Dragon Archfiend (he ran out of Stardust), Formula, a face down Caius, and Collassal. He attacked into AZ and our fields were clean. I drew into Cydra and passed. He drew and removed Vayu and Sirrocco for Armed Wing. Something happened and I narrowly lost.
OXX

Round 4 - n00b HEROES
Duel 1 and 2 - Should I even bother?
OO

Round 5 - BW
Duel 1 - He started off with Shura and a face down. I summoned Alius and with Honest in hand, attacked into Shura and was expecting a Kalut but it never showed up. He then Gold Sarced into Whirlwind and set one in each row. I summon Ocean and attack into Mistral which I then destroy with Alius. Setting one in my back row, I turn it to him. He summons Sirrocco but I Bottomless it. My turn and I summon Stratos and attempt to nuked his face down. Lucky for me, I didn't know Starlight Road couldn't negate Stratos (thanks Brah and Kenny) so no Stardizzl for him and bye bye Royal Decree. I easily won this.
Duel 2 - The game started the same as last time and again I was expecting Kalut but no Kalut! Can this guy not afford Kalut? Come on, it's cheaper than Honest and you have a freakin Stardust! My game.
OO

I got 6th place and 7 dollars of store credit which all went to two Hidden Arsenal 3s. Pulled jank though, Gungnir doesn't want to be with me :( At least Brah went 3-2 with me, I would have felt lonely if he went 4-1 with Fugglor.
Hopefully I'll do better when the Shining comes out...

Premium Pack 13

New HERO support makes this Asian boy very happy :D
PP13-JP010
Hero Arrive
Spell Normal
Activate only by paying half of your Life Points while you control no face-up monsters. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "HERO" monster from your Deck.
First the new E.HERO support. E-Emergency Call is way better than this thing, mostly because it isn't as costly. I feel like it's a cool card to pull into late game but that's it. A Stratos or Bubbleman (plus the draw two) should not be worth 4000 LP.

PP13-JP007
Vision Hero Adoration
Dark Warrior
LV8 2800/2100
Fusion - 2 x "HERO" monsters
Once per turn, you can select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls and 1 face-up "HERO" monster other than this card you control. The monster your opponent controls loses ATK and DEF equal to the ATK of the monster you control until the End Phase.
Yayy for generic HERO fusion! A decent target for Future Fusion but slightly outclassed by Vision Hero Trinity. It's effect would be a lot nicer if you could choose Adoration himself though. In my opinion, he's a more flexible but limited Gaia. Unlike Gaia though, you can activate his effect once per turn and not just when he is summoned.

PP13-JP009
Mask Change
Spell Quick-Play
Activate by selecting 1 face-up "HERO" monster you control. Send the selected monster to the Graveyard and Special Summon 1 "Masked Hero" monster with the same Attribute from your Extra
Deck.
Henshin! This is the card that will change change HERO decks everywhere (as soon as more Masked Heroes are released of course). Chain this card to a Bottomless Trap, Dimensional Prison, Mirror Force, etc. to dodge destruction and call forth a new Masked Hero! I'm so glad they didn't print this card with the manga effect because while the +2 Levels was an interesting concept, it would have restricted the M.HEROES way too much unless we had a M.HERO for every level and attribute. Of course, our choices are still very limited at the moment since we only have Goka and Vapor but it's still a decent card. It will tech very well with Absolute Zero decks of course and will become much better when we get Masked Hero Daian and Maskd Hero Dark Law.

PP13-JP005
Masked Hero Goka
Fire Warrior
LV6 2200/1800
Fusion - This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Mask Change". This card gains 100 ATK for each "HERO" monster in your Graveyard.
As of now, we can "Transformation Summon" Goka using E.HERO Burst Lady, Lady Heat, the Heat, Flare Neos, Fire Blast, Nova Master, or M.HERO Goka himself. I'll most likely be using Mask Change in conjunction with Heat or Nova Master to bring this bad boy out. To be honest, I find him very cool looking but not all that great effect wise. An option for Masked Change but that's it. He's basically a weaker version of E.HERO Shining Flare Wingman without the awesome burn. I would only put one in my Extra Deck just for the sake of toolboxing. Who knows? This guy might just save my butt late game.

PP13-JP006
Masked Hero Vapor
Water warrior
LV6 2400/2000
Fusion - This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Mask Change". This card cannot be destroyed by the effects of Spells, Traps, and Effect Monsters.
My favorite Masked Hero that is released at the moment. Although not cooler than M.HERO Goka, his effect is definitely an improvement. Our options for the "Transformation Summon" are E.HERO Bubbleman, Bubbleman Neo, Ice Edge, Sailorman, Aqua Neos, Marine Neos, and of course Vapor. Oh, did I forget to mention Absolute Zero? In case you can't put it together, chain this card to a Mirror Force, release E.HERO Absolute Zero and summon Vapor. Vapor isn't destroyed by Mirror Force and your opponent's monsters get nuked instead. GG! You can also use E.HERO Ice Edge's effect to clear the field of any Compulsory Evacuation Device or Dimensional Prison that might mess with Vapor and then Mask Change into Vapor.

Gotcha~

My new super special awesome ultra chocolaty secret deck that isn't quite so secret anymore.

I just couldn't keep it quiet. It's the second deck I've come up with that's able to beat the decks up on tier one, and the only one that's legal right now. The limitation of Destiny Draw screwed the other one. And it's not like I do large-scale tourneys, so I'm not losing out on anything by telling the world. Here's the decklist:

Pot of Avarice
Cold Wave

It's Monster Surge... with a twist. Provided you get a Merchant off first turn or draw a Swap Frog, you have a draw engine in the form of Fishborg Blaster and Treeborn Frog. (Don't forget the Treeborn summon. I do this all the time, and it's cost me more than one game.) Every turn, you can synch for a Formula Synchron, and with the three Caius, the Malicious, and the Armed Wings you can make, alongside the Plaguespreader and Diva engine, Shooting Star can come out in twos. He's your boss monster, for those times you can't do the Colossal Arms OTK. You'll also want to be doing this under Cold Wave, because if your Shooting Star play gets nipped, you're kind of a sitting duck until you get another one.

Now, you might be wondering why I consider it able to beat tier one. Decks like Jason Grabher-Meyer's build (see TCGplayer.com for it) had a lot of high-impact Special Summons, like Dark Simorgh, Chaos Sorcerer and Dark Creator, but it didn't have too much consistency--my build gets its engine off on the first turn almost every game. It can play out of bad hands as well. I've drawn three Caius, a Diva, a Gillman, and a Malicious, and I ended up winning that game against Machina Gadgets. (It 2-1ed me because of a misplay I made first game, but that's not really the point.) The deck is just really fun to play, and it's so satisfying to slap down a Shooting Star Dragon. The deck can also make Red Nova Dragon, but I chose to focus on Shooting Star because of deck space. If you decide to drop the two Debris, two Dandylion and Quickdraw, you can also throw in a Miracle Fusion or two over Cold Wave and an Avarice, and add a Hero engine (Stratos, two Wildheart, two Ocean). I'm actually thinking about doing that, because the lone Quickdraw (it's at one because of extra deck space) isn't quite cutting it, and the Debris is only in here for Black Rose nukes and Shooting Star shenanigans. Let me quickly elaborate on that; if you have Caius on the field or Malicious in hand/grave and Diva/Reese/Plaguespreader in grave, you can make your Formula for the turn, drop Debris, pull one of the Tuners, bring out a Malicious, and you have a Shooting Star OR a Red Nova Dragon. Shooting Star takes less card utility, but it doesn't get nearly as big. The deck has 14 Tuners (17 when you count Formula Synchron), which makes Red Nova top out at 12000. Heh. And your opponent isn't likely to kill it next turn, as the only ways it leaves are being RFPed or bounced... I'm not doing the Hero build. I would like to find room for a Chevalier de Fleur in the extra deck though, which is right here.

Colossal Fighter
Armory Arm

As you can see, it's REALLY packed. I wanted to run an Iron Chain Dragon, to further justify my Debris Dragons, but there isn't room when I'm running Quickdraw and the Spined Gillman. You know what? I'm gonna do that. I am keeping the Dandylions, but Quickdraw is out. So is Drill Warrior. But wait, they're 6* monsters for the Shooting Star summons... I need to add another two Quickdraw... especially with the Level Eater in there. It's staying. This is the kind of thing I hate about deck building. No deck should run over 40, although I've considered 50 or 60 card builds. I think it's justified. It'd need ways to search Merchant though. Anyway, done with the random tangent. I changed the original build while writing this post. Drill Warrior is staying at one, because I can reuse it with Pot of Avarice (which I dropped from two to one for Monster Reborn, because of slightly low utility.) I added the two Quickdraw Synchron, taking out Super-Nimble Mega Hamster and one Ryko.

So, this is my new super special awesome ultra chocolaty secret deck that isn't quite so secret anymore. I'm taking it to a locals tomorrow. I'll make a follow-up post telling you all how it did. Keep innovating.

P.S. - I forgot the sideboard. It probably slipped my mind because I have almost none of these cards.

UPDATE ~ The deck took 4-1 at Locals yesterday. Lost 2-1 to Infernities. The win I got was right after I milled EVERY CARD in the deck with Merchant. I pulled Pot of Avarice, put back three Caius and two Debris Dragon. Released my on-field Treeborn, removed Grepher, hit for 2400. 8000-4600. He set and passed. Next turn, Treeborn comes back, COLD WAVE FOR GAME LOLOLOLOLOL. Release Treeborn for Caius #2, removed facedown, attack for game. Two cards left in deck, on the third turn...

My wins were against a mishmash, Ancient Gears, Chow, and Machina Gadgets. Those last two games gave me a goddamn ulcer. I won both on game 3 by like 400 LP. But I ended up pulling second place, and got myself 20 bucks store credit. All in all, pretty good day. ^_^

5D's 139

Chow here with an episode review...since I'm like the only person in this group that's actually a manga/anime freak.

Pros:
-Clevage from Aki is what makes this show watchable.
-Asian connection between Crow and Aki. Yeah it exists.
-Only Yusei could fall 100 meters in the air and land safely on the ground with style.
-I love how these Battle Royale duels always start with the two heroes fighting each other but they end up using the power of friendship and gang bang the villian. Poor villians :( I'm looking at you Fujiwara.

Cons:
-Battle Royale with Ecole de Zone is so confusing.
-Broken Blackfeather - Gogarashi the Wanderer by Crow.

BF-流離いのコガラシ Burakkufezaa - Sasurai no Gogarashi (OCG: Blackfeather - Gogarashi the Wanderer /TCG: Blackwing - Kogarashi the Wanderer)
6 Stars/DARK/Winged Beast-Type - Effect, Tuner/2300 ATK/1600 DEF
You can Special Summon this card from your hand when a "Blackwing" is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. If this card is Special Summoned by this effect, that Special Summon cannot be negated. Your opponent can use this card as a Synchro Material Monster. The Synchro Summon of a Synchro Monster that uses this card as a Synchro Material monster cannot be negated.

Such a boss. Fuck Solemn Warning, Solemn Judgement. Bottomless and Torrential still eats it up though. Combos with Urgent Tuning if you happen to have a LV1 or 2 monster out haha.

Gotcha~

Epicake - A New Soul of Team Rose Bud

Hello World of Readers - If you exist

As I said, hello, greetings, or whatever you like to say. My name is Epicake, the fourth member of Team Rose Bud. I've run X-Sabers since the ANPR Sneak Peek excluding the 4 or 5 times I've dropped them. But hey, when you love a deck you can't stay away from it can you? No. You cannot. Fugglor and Brah were the two who got me sucked into this "hobby" or sickness as I would think. They were originally my brother's friends but I tagged along with them one day to locals and picked up the game quickly. And I began with sabers because a different friend pulled 2 Faultrolls the day of the Sneak and thought they were crap. He then gave them to me. XD I was thinking about posting my general hobbies, attitude and other stuff like that so you could get to know me a little bit better, but who wants to hear that crap? ON TO YGOZ!

Lets start my first post off with a decklist.

Intro - Token Control

'Sup, readers. My name's Fugglor, proud member of Team Rosebud, and I'm gonna be the one talking about the more obscure decks out there. Unlike Brah, I like to play decks that no one expects, or that take a lot of thought to pilot; you can expect most (if not all) of my posts to be weird-ass Deck Profiles of stuff I'm working with at the moment. So now, with utmost vigor, I present to you:

Now, some of you may be saying "WTF Fugglor, do you expect me to take this deck seriously?" and my answer is a full-hearted YES. The central strategy to it is to flood your field and your opponent's with tokens, using cards like Ojama Trio and Scapegoat (which, by the way, gives you and your opponent four tokens under Black Garden), and then rape the hell out of their life with Just Desserts if you didn't win by then with Wave-Motion Cannon. There are also some big beaters in here that control the game as well (eg. Caius, Destiny Hero - Plasma).

Explanation of choices

3x Caius - The massive amounts of tribute fodder you can force out, plus the removal effect, makes Caius a no-brainer.

2x Destiny Hero - Plasma - Prevents your opponent from using their monster effects (like Ryko) to destroy your Gardens.

2x Lava Golem - Gives you a token, hits them for 1000 each turn. Also can't attack under Messenger of Peace.

1x Arcana Force Ex - the Light Ruler - 2000 ATK beater, 4000 DEF for when you need to stall, and can get massive pluses off the opponent's tokens.

2x Dandylion - It's a token deck.

3x Black Garden - The deck can't function without it. If your opponent hits it with Cursed Stone of the Forbidden Spell, scoop. Please.

1x Terraforming - Adds... consistency? You can dig out Black Garden if necessary.

1x Scapegoat - Again, token deck.

3x Wave-Motion Cannon - The best burn card in the game. It sits behind your wall, and with people opting out of MST lately, it's likely not to be destroyed.

2x Enemy Controller - Takes advantage of your tokens. Stops special summons, gigantic pushes for damage, etc.

2x Gold Sarcophagus - Digs out the Wave-Motion Cannons and other important stuff (and in a pinch, Black Garden).

3x Messenger of Peace - All of your monsters get under it, besides a pumped Plasma and Arcana Force Ex. Stalls for you until you can drop Wave-Motion.

1x Swords of Revealing Light - Same function as Messenger, except it works on all monsters.

1x Monster Reborn - Free monster, and adds a token to your opponent's field.

1x Mind Control - Take their monster with this, tribute for Enemy Controller. Also stops Ryko before it happens.

3x Just Desserts - Secondary burn card. Hits for a max of 2500; usually hits max after a Scapegoat or an Ojama Trio.

1x Secret Barrel - Third burn card, to add a bit of damage. This might be scrapped in the near future.

2x Ojama Trio - Floods the field with tokens, stalls, and fuels your burn cards.

3x Pollinosis - Controls your opponent's huge plays; can stop MSTs, Breakers and Debris Dragon nukes as well.

I don't exactly know what inspired me to turn this into a Burn Deck--it was originally based around Enemy Controller and Tributing. It didn't put out damage like this one though. So, that about wraps up the deck. Hopefully, you learned a little bit, were inspired to make your own creative deck, or discovered how to work with a fun strategy that most people dismiss as awful. Stay inventive.

My turn, DRAW!

"A cry for help will set off the Signal that will call the Heroes."

This is Chow, HERO trickster of Team Rose Bud. I will be covering all anime and HERO thingymajigs. I started playing Heroes when a close friend of mine left his Elemental Hero (E.HERO) Featherman/Avian, E.HERO Burst Lady/Burstinatrix, E.HERO Clayman, E.HERO Sparkman, ultimate rare E.HERO Bubbleman and Hane Kuriboh/Winged Kuriboh in one of my tins. Since I never saw him again, I decided to make good use of the cards he has left with and became the Hero duelist in his name.
It was at this time period that I scrapped my Yugi deck, which did fairly against the meta before Elemental Energy, and made a Judai/Jaden deck. Of course E.HERO/Neo-Spacians don't mix but it was okay since I was playing Traditional. As I entered high school, I met Fugglor, another member of Team Rose Bud. Our presence fueled our dueling spirits and in 2007, my competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! career began...
Gotcha~

Welcome to the blog of Team Rose Bud, newest Yu-Gi-Oh! blog to the TCG world. In our MEGATIGHT blog, the four members of Team Rose Bud will cover all the hype in the TCG/OCG world, the anime, post deck lists, random thoughts, and Asian girls. The last one is still debatable but keep checking in every once in a while if you want some of that. There might be a bit of vulgarity here and there with a bit to a lot of foul language and if you are against all of those things and enjoy playing children's card games, than this is definitely the blog for you. Once again, this is Team Rose Bud signing out~
