Intro - Token Control

'Sup, readers. My name's Fugglor, proud member of Team Rosebud, and I'm gonna be the one talking about the more obscure decks out there. Unlike Brah, I like to play decks that no one expects, or that take a lot of thought to pilot; you can expect most (if not all) of my posts to be weird-ass Deck Profiles of stuff I'm working with at the moment. So now, with utmost vigor, I present to you:

Now, some of you may be saying "WTF Fugglor, do you expect me to take this deck seriously?" and my answer is a full-hearted YES. The central strategy to it is to flood your field and your opponent's with tokens, using cards like Ojama Trio and Scapegoat (which, by the way, gives you and your opponent four tokens under Black Garden), and then rape the hell out of their life with Just Desserts if you didn't win by then with Wave-Motion Cannon. There are also some big beaters in here that control the game as well (eg. Caius, Destiny Hero - Plasma).

Explanation of choices

3x Caius - The massive amounts of tribute fodder you can force out, plus the removal effect, makes Caius a no-brainer.

2x Destiny Hero - Plasma - Prevents your opponent from using their monster effects (like Ryko) to destroy your Gardens.

2x Lava Golem - Gives you a token, hits them for 1000 each turn. Also can't attack under Messenger of Peace.

1x Arcana Force Ex - the Light Ruler - 2000 ATK beater, 4000 DEF for when you need to stall, and can get massive pluses off the opponent's tokens.

2x Dandylion - It's a token deck.

3x Black Garden - The deck can't function without it. If your opponent hits it with Cursed Stone of the Forbidden Spell, scoop. Please.

1x Terraforming - Adds... consistency? You can dig out Black Garden if necessary.

1x Scapegoat - Again, token deck.

3x Wave-Motion Cannon - The best burn card in the game. It sits behind your wall, and with people opting out of MST lately, it's likely not to be destroyed.

2x Enemy Controller - Takes advantage of your tokens. Stops special summons, gigantic pushes for damage, etc.

2x Gold Sarcophagus - Digs out the Wave-Motion Cannons and other important stuff (and in a pinch, Black Garden).

3x Messenger of Peace - All of your monsters get under it, besides a pumped Plasma and Arcana Force Ex. Stalls for you until you can drop Wave-Motion.

1x Swords of Revealing Light - Same function as Messenger, except it works on all monsters.

1x Monster Reborn - Free monster, and adds a token to your opponent's field.

1x Mind Control - Take their monster with this, tribute for Enemy Controller. Also stops Ryko before it happens.

3x Just Desserts - Secondary burn card. Hits for a max of 2500; usually hits max after a Scapegoat or an Ojama Trio.

1x Secret Barrel - Third burn card, to add a bit of damage. This might be scrapped in the near future.

2x Ojama Trio - Floods the field with tokens, stalls, and fuels your burn cards.

3x Pollinosis - Controls your opponent's huge plays; can stop MSTs, Breakers and Debris Dragon nukes as well.

I don't exactly know what inspired me to turn this into a Burn Deck--it was originally based around Enemy Controller and Tributing. It didn't put out damage like this one though. So, that about wraps up the deck. Hopefully, you learned a little bit, were inspired to make your own creative deck, or discovered how to work with a fun strategy that most people dismiss as awful. Stay inventive.

  1. Yeah, people were opting out of MST, then GKs won. Other than that, looks solid.

  3. I tested it against Chow and got stomped. I'm sure it'd beat some people though, and it's a fun way to play burn decks.
That last comment I deleted because I used Chow's name. Lol. Thought I'd keep it anon for now.
